What to do on your Breckenridge Summer Vacation

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

It is late April, Breckenridge ski area is closed, time to start planning for a Breckenridge Summer Vacation. Summer Vacations in Breckenridge are arguably as fun and exciting as winter vacations in Breck. Our summer vacation season kicks off in mid June and lasts until late August. The weather during our summer is typically sunny, around 70 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night. We do have the occasional mid afternoon rain, but it usually blows through fairly quickly. So pack shorts and a light jacket for your Breckenridge Summer Vacation and get ready to enjoy paradise in a whole different way.

So, what can you do during your Breckenridge Summer Vacation that makes it so special, and in my opinion one of the most underrated summer vacation destinations?

Here are just a few of the unique activities and events you can only experience during summer in Breckenridge-

Ø Horseback riding on one of several thousand acre cattle ranches
Ø Fly fish the Blue River, or Lake Dillon
Ø Take a sailboat or motorboat out on Lake Dillon
Ø Hike up the Breckenridge ski area
Ø Take a 4 wheeler over the acres of mountain trails
Ø Take a bike ride on the bike path that goes from Vail to over the pass
Ø Camp in one of several location around the county

Of course, this is merely a sample of what you can do on your Breckenridge Summer vacation. The town comes alive in Mid June and peaks with our Breckenridge 4th of July parade (detail on out breckenridge 4th of July events). 4th of July in Breckenridge is one of a kind. As summer fades and falll sets in, the changing leaves of our aspen trees is a picturesque sight that must be seen in person.
Biking, hiking, rafting, whatever adventure you seek, a Breckenridge Summer vacation is the ticket to paradise. Please visit http://www.rmlodging/ for a variety of Breckenridge Lodging and rental homes to host your summer trip to Breckenridge
