Breckenridge Summer Events
May 2nd, 9th, and 16th- Clay molding for kids (from 5-7 years)- 1-4 p.m. at the Quandary antiques Cabin in Breckenridge. The cost is $50 and it includes materials.
May 5th- Mi Casa’s Cinco De Mayo Celebration- The 26th annual celebration is held at Mi Casa restaurant is a fundraiser that includes happy hour prices on drinks and a all you can eat buffet. There is also a silent auction and an open mic. This is one of the first summer events in Breckenridge. Cost is $20 for adults and $12 for kids.
May 8th-10th, 15th, and 16th- The Backstage theatre presents Charlie and Knickerbockers Big Live Show- Charlie Schmidt and his sidekick Knickerbocker put on a comedy presentation that is fun for all ages. You can purchase ticket’s form the backstage theatre, 121 S. Ridge st, or 970-453-0199. Cost is $18 for adults and $12 for adults under 12.
May 21st- The speakeasy Theater presents- 7p.m. Mountain 2 Mountain Movie night featuring the movie Afghan Star, winner of the Sundance film fest documentary of the year in 2009.
May 22nd-25th and 29th-31st- the Backstage Theatre Presents- The Syringa Tree, playing at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for kids under 12.
May 30th- Tons of Trucks at the Riverwalk Center- Free for all ages! This event is held from 10-12 p.m., the first 200 kids get a free helmet.
June 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th- Wilderness hikes on Thursday- From 10-12 on Thursday you can go on a guided hike through the backcountry of Breckenridge.
June 6th- The Breckenridge Theatre presents- 150 years of film and print, a film by local filmmaker Wendy Wolfe that explores Breckenridge’s rich 150 year history.
June 10th- Summit Trail Running Series- A series of 6 trail races featuring a short and long course. Call 970-453-1734 for details, or to register.
June 11th-14th- the 29th Breckenridge Festival of Film- A host of uniquely different films, genres, and artists for your viewing pleasure. 970-453-6200
June 12th-14th- NTRP Tennis championship- This is a USTA sanctioned tennis championship held at the rec center courts in Breckenridge. Men’s and women’s mixed doubles, singles, and doubles.
June 13th-20th- Beaver run Hosts the model A ford club- Come and view dozens of classic model A cars.
June 17th- Summit trail running series continues- 2nd in the series, starts at 5:45 p.m. at Little French Gulch in Breck.
June 18th- The Breckenridge Town Party at the Riverwalk Center- Come and celebrate our 150th anniversary at our annual town celebration. Music, games, petting zoo, food, drinks, and fun! 4:30- 9 p.m.
June 19th- Ice Dancing class- Hosted at the Steven C. West Ice arena from 5-7 p.m. Come and have an instructor teach you a variety of ice dance steps, $15 per person.
June 19th- NRO presents First of the Fiftieth- Join us at the Riverwalk center to enjoy the music of our National Repertory Orchestra, starts at 7:3- p.m., $22-$32. 970-547-3100
June 20th- 21st- Breckenridge Kingdom Days- A summer event in Breckenridge that celebrates our 150 year heritage, more details.
June 21st- 22nd- Summit Foundation golf tournament- June 21st from 6-10 p.m. is the welcome party and June 22nd from 4-10 p.m. is the Bud VIP party. Food, drinks, entertainment, raffle, silent and live auction. $75 for the welcome party and $100 for the VIP. 970-453-5970
June 23rd- Breckenridge Riverwalk center hosts- The kids Calliope Concert at 2 p.m., tickets are $5.
June 23rd- Riverwalk Center Hosts- The Blue River series featuring Pat Green. Country singer Pat Green plays a blend of country, folk, college, and rock music. Starts at 7:30, $35 at the door.
June 24th- 28th- Beaver Run hosts the MG club- Classic MG cars are on hand for you viewing.
June 24th- The Summit Mountain Challenge- This is #3 in the Mountain Bike series race held at the country boy mine. Race starts at 5:30, $20 for pre register, $25 the day of, $10 for 18 and under.
June 24th- NRO presents Catchy Classics- Another in the summer series of Concerts at the Riverwalk Center by our National Repertory Orchestra. Tickets are $22- $32.
June 26th- 28th- Sidewalk sale weekend in Breck- Vendors market their wares all along main street during summer in Breckenridge.
June 26th- 28th- The Backstage Theatre presents- The Fantasticks, starts at 7:30, adults $20, kids under 12 are $14.
June 27th- NRO presents Legendary Classics- Join our National Repertory Orchestra at the Riverwalk center for another brilliant concert. 7:30 p.m., tickets are $22-$32.
July 1st- NRO presents Music of Hollywood- 7:30 p.m. at the riverwalk center, tickets $22- $32.
July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, &30th- Wilderness hikes- Guided hikes through the Breckenridge backcountry every Thursday. $8 per person, $22 for a family, meet at the Breck welcome canter.

July 30th- The Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra Presents- Swinging at the summit. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to swing to big band music. Held at the Riverwalk center at 7:30, $22- $32.
