The lighting of Breckenridge holiday celebration
December 4th 2010- Tis the season, and Breckenridge comes alive
during the Holidays like no other place on earth. A Victorian winter Wonderland comes to life before your eyes as the snow falls on the illuminated town tree behind the costumed carolers in our 150 year old mining town. The holidays are the perfect time of year to experience Breckenridge and we make it last all month long!
The festivities begin with our Holiday Tradition, The Lighting of Breckenridge, which takes place on December 4, 2010
The Lighting of Breckenridge Schedule-
5:00 p.m. – Santa arrives with Ms. Claus and the sleigh just north of the town square and leads a holiday march to the Blue River Plaza to light the Town Tree and entire plaza.
5:15 p.m. – Santa will give the green light and the plaza will light up brighter than the night stars, carolers will sing, and you will have to experience the holiday market in the plaza.
5:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. – You can visit Santa at Breckenridge Welcome Center, located right next to the Blue River Plaza, and pull his beard.
The lighting of Breckenridge is the beginning of our Breckenridge Holiday celebration, but far from the end of it. After we kick it off with the lighting of Breckenridge, the holidays continue on all month long-
