With over 440 inches of snow last season, mouths are watering for Breckenridge opening day 2014, and the fantastic conditions and 3,000+ acres of world class terrain. November 7th, 2014 is the big day, when the lifts begin to turn, the rope on the line drops, and the first chair will elevate a few lucky people to open the ski season.
Top three things waiting for you in Breckenridge this year- Opening Day 2014
- Well, if you did not experience it last year, peak 6 is still one of the newest, biggest, and best developments at any resort. After the successful inaugural season, peak 6 will continue to develop into a local’s favorite, and a visitors first.
- The Colorado chair on peak 8 is brand new! Not to be outdone, peak 8 has a brand new, high capacity lift that is replacing the old Colorado chair. This lift increases capacity up the mountain, meaning the lines will be shorter and move faster!
- 30 years of snowboarding! Yep, Breck has always been a favorite destination of snowboarding enthusiasts, and has always been a leader in promoting the sport. 30 years ago, Breckenridge welcomed a brand new sport, on brand new equipment, and helped build an industry. 30 years later, our dedication to the sport can be witnessed in our massive half pipe, terrain parks, and as a year over year host of the Dew Tour.
