Big Blue Trace

We reserved the Big Blue Trace for our extended family for a family wedding in the area. We really enjoyed the house and views and access to the Breckenridge area. The house was laid out well for our family and was very clean. Appreciated amenities for small children and toys / games for all ages. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the cool, fall mountain air. Communications was proactive and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The home was in a great location, with plenty of space for everyone and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was beautiful, with several other gorgeous homes nearby, and it was a great area to explore and enjoy.
The team was also extremely responsive and made sure we were taken care of in every way throughout our stay. We really appreciated how easy they were to work with and how attentive they were to our needs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. We will be back!

Great place, great location and views, great communication. Would absolutely stay here again.
The only small nit was that the larger bed in the basement needs replaced. It tacos and squeaks pretty badly - not nearly comfortable enough (beds through the rest of the house were fine).

The cabin has large spaces so families and groups can spread out on all floors. The kitchen is well equiped. Lots of great spaces!I would say the indoor and outdoor furniture can be improved. As a high end cabin, there shouldn't be broken furniture.

Our extended family of 5 couples stayed in the house over a long weekend. The house is beautiful with plenty of space to spread out. The outside deck has a gorgeous view of the sunrise and sunset. The younger adults really enjoyed the hot tub and playing Halo in the media room. The location is just a short drive from downtown Breckenridge and it’s easy to move around Summit County.The management company is the best I’ve ever worked with!! Their communication was thorough and they responded to an issue we had with a door lock immediately. The house was very clean! The only two things that bothered us were no mattress covers on the beds, and the mattresses were not super comfortable to us. They were all foam mattresses which none of us are use to sleeping on. This doesn’t change my opinion at all though… I would highly recommend a stay!!

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb. The place was spotless, and honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice it’s even more beautiful in person. We visited during the snowstorm season, and despite the weather, we had an unforgettable time. The hosts were fantastic super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The scenery was breathtaking and indescribable; you truly have to be there to experience it. The home itself was extremely spacious and perfect for our group. Highly recommend!

This house is fabulous. We took our two adult children, their spouses and 2 grands. The house was the perfect layout for 3 families. Each family had their own level.
For as fabulous as the upscale house was, the furnishings were just ok. The main level room (which there was no furniture in the pictures online except the coffee table) had worn, low to the ground sofas. The dining room chairs had seen better days. We loved the outdoor porch. Being from Texas, we were thrilled to sit outside in the cooler weather. There were 4 worn, wooden chairs which 2 of them were broken. There were 4 cheap plastic chairs that would blow across the deck when a storm would blow in. The bottom level had a walk out area. It couldn’t be used because it was overgrown with weeds. The hot tub was great and we used several times. Overall, I’ve listed some things that were wrong with the furnishings, but I would stay there again. I realize some renters don’t respect others property.

We saw a family of Moose right outside. The house was in a great location, up a dirt road giving more opportunity for serenity and wild life but we had no problem getting Ubers to town or driving into town was only about 5-10 minutes max. There was an easy hiking trail along a river at the base of the dirt road that we walked. The house was very clean with easy instructions for checking and check out. The management team was very helpful and responsive via text and email.

Great place—beautiful and quiet setting with amazing views of the peaks to the east of town and the resort peaks to the south of the property. Lots of room in the house, too, with multiple, separate shared spaces in addition to the many bedrooms (i.e., if one group is hanging out in the main living room, another group could watch a movie downstairs, and a third group could hang out in the downstairs den).
Inconvenient to town, but perfect for our purposes (we knew it was not an ideal location for running back and forth to town—we planned to prepare meals, brought food, and intended to enjoy a quiet stay; this worked out really well).

Perfect place for a ski trip. The house had everything our group of 9 needed to enjoy 5 days skiing in Breckenridge (10 mins away) and Keystone (20 mins away). The house was well stocked and all amenities were in great condition, so we did not have any issues during our stay. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts, and their instructions were clear before and during our stay. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we would be happy to stay here again in the future.

We had a group of 5 couples visit on a winter/ski trip and we couldn't have had a better place to stay. Spectacular views, big rooms, great amenities (especially the hot tub), and everything we could need made it worth spending your nights at the house if you wanted. Driving to the gondola lots and town only took about 10 minutes. No problem with uber or delivery. They run plows but you'll definitely need 4WD. I think we all wished we could stay twice as long as we did!

I stayed here with my family for a ski trip. The house is absolutely beautiful. Every bedroom is nice and spacious. The house is about a 10 minute drive from downtown. 4 wheel drive is needed in the winter. Several cars got stuck coming up the roads while it snowed. The management company was extremely responsive which was nice. There were a few minor items in the home that should be fixed (a light downstairs was slightly pulled out of the wall and a headboard in a bedroom had been dislodged). Overall this placed was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Big Blue Trace! The house was incredibly spacious and allowed for our family to spend some quality time together! Similar to the note on the property description - make sure you have an AWD! The house is off of a windy uphill road and with the snowy conditions, it is an absolutely must to have an AWD.

The house provided a great space to spend time with my family after a difficult year of losses. We have never experienced a white Christmas and this did not disappoint. The views were great! The snow plows plowed the main road so we felt safe driving in unfamiliar conditions. Every family unit had their own space and bath. The house itself was lovely. Felt perfect for the season and we appreciated the decorated Christmas tree. We did feel it could have been a little better supplied. We had to buy cleaning spray for the kitchen and some of the pans needed to be washed before use. We also had to buy toilet paper. We should have bought more paper towels, but kept forgetting. A couple of additional hot pads and kitchen towels would have been nice. We haven't done this much - we just know now to be a little better prepared. As we had an infant with us - we bought and left a pack n play for future guests. A high chair would have been nice. We would return to this property again- just a little better prepared. There was a broken light in the bunk room evidently. I never went down there, but that was the only maintenance issue. Thank you for sharing the house.

This house was absolutely gorgeous!
The view was 10/10 and very close to the village, shops, food and slopes!
The only thing that I would say negative was the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the couch, and all of the other guests agreed. If you like extremely firm beds, then you will love it.
Otherwise, the home was perfect and the stay was amazing.

This my was first Airbnb experience and Toby and Lauretta set the bar high! The house was beyond our expectations and the quiet community was perfect for our family with little ones. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and was our they made check in so easy. On our final morning we were able to see two moose walk right through the backyard. Toby & Lauretta's home is immaculate! It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend. There were 7 of us. The house is super convenient for getting to the Breckenridge ski resort and also to downtown. The home itself is so beautiful - the beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great and water got super hot, the hot tub is so peaceful, the kitchen was well stocked and the dining table was perfect for a larger group. We even did yoga as a group up on the landing and down in the living room.
Toby & Lauretta were very quick to respond to any questions and were so helpful up through the booking and during our stay. 10/10 would recommend this home for any group of folks who want to enjoy Breck.
