This spacious 3-Bedroom, 3-Bath house features high ceilings and large windows, bringing in natural light along with the lovely natural scenery. Take it all in from your private hot tub, and enjoy a barbecue on your wrap-around deck. Truly a winter wonderland to explore right in the back yard!
On the ground level, you may enter the house from the front door or the garage, where you'll find the first bedroom which has one set of bunk beds, a double bed, and a trundle underneath. There is also a full bathroom on this level.
The main level features a gorgeous, modern kitchen with new appliances and all the essentials for preparing a feast. The living room with gas fireplace and deck are on this floor as well, along with the third bedroom with a Queen-bed, and another bathroom. The top level houses the private master suite and a loft, with a King-bed and en-suite bath. MUST HAVE A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE TO BEST ACCESS THIS HOME IN THE WINTER.

Pros: The house was fabulous and communication was quick and responsive for some of the questions and trouble shooting we had about the house while we were staying there.
Cons: We got in late and didn’t get to the store before arriving. The house doesn’t provide any ‘starter amenities’ (ie: coffee or tea) so be sure to bring your own if you will be getting in late or these are critical :)Nicola - Posted: 1/2/2025

Breckenridge Christmas Family Vacation

Our family goes on a Christmas Vacation every other year and this year we chose Breckenridge. When looking for a place to stay your cabin stood out above the rest. It is beautiful and added a sense of warmth and "home" to our experience. There were 10 of us staying for 8 days and there was plenty of room for all of us to gather and still have alone space if needed. Add in the view of the mountains from the front (especially from the loft) and the woods in back and we had the perfect Christmas location.
The Management company was also fabulous. We called them with a couple of questions, and they were extremely helpful with their recommendations and assistance.

I enjoyed going up the dirt road, but my wife did not!
We really loved going on a hike in the woods behind the house. It's great not having anyone behind you while on vacation. Again, it's a quiet place!
The only complaint I have is that the place wasn't really clean when we arrived. The carpet had lego pieces in it (aka they didn't vacuum), the blankets were filthy and had hair of some sort (maybe dog?) on it and that shed all over us; very annoyed by that. The kitchen island was not that clean. Still, the general cleanliness was acceptable and fine. There were no smells or scents that we could notice, which is perfect for an allergy sufferer like me!
Overall, we would stay here again with adults. The bedroom situation and layout is not ideal for those with toddlers or babies. If you have small kids (ages 5-7, etc), this place is great. If you're coming with other friends who also have toddlers or babies, it may not be the best place. Still, we had a blast.

This house truly does have immaculate views! We stayed with two other families and 4 toddlers. Plenty of space for the kids to play. This place was amazing! The view was beautiful, beds were comfortable, and hot tub was just the right relaxation we needed. There were so many amenities from cooking supplies to towels that it truly felt like him. I am so lucky to have found this place.
I came up for my 30th with friends and there was the perfect amount of room. I can't wait to come back with family when they come to visit!

Off the main road and high up, the Black Bear Lodge is a great cabin get away. There is a lot of space for multiple people. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms are huge. We had fun cooking our dinners and playing Uno all night. We fully enjoyed the area, especially the hot tub. It’s a gorgeous sunset from there. Perfect Cabin

The house was very clean on arrival but the sheets felt very old and worn which would be my only complaint.
One recommendation is 4x4 is mandatory in the winter. Even with a Jeep Wrangler, our tire were slipping on multiple occasions going up and down the mountain.

Perfect Mid-January Stay
We had a beautiful stay. The cabin is a few miles up the road from town, but sitting in the hot tub in peace and quiet with a panoramo of mountains view is well-worth the drive. Plus if you like snow-shoeing or XC skiing this is the absolute best spot in town - almost literally on the Peaks Trail. House is perfect for a good sized group, plenty of beds, big kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The Black Bear Lodge is such a beautiful place. I came here with 10 of my girlfriends for our 30th birthday. The place was clean and beautiful, it was the perfect cabin. Even better than the pictures. The views were amazing! We had plenty of space, were very comfortable and had a great time making dinner and breakfast in the gorgeous kitchen/dining area. This was one the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed in! This cabin was incredible and perfect for our group getaway! It was better then we expected and we loved every part of it!

This place was great! Woke up everyday in the mountains, secluded but very close to town. Went up for a guys weekend and everyone kept commenting on how awesome the house was. First time using Airbnb. It went very smooth and two minor situations we had were resolved quickly. The home is fantastic and accommodated the family well. Close proximity to Breckenridge made it very convenient for all activities.

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this cabin in the mountains!
